M*A*S*H the Series

It seems funny to be grateful for a television series.  Not many shows can claim the impact that the series M*A*S*H had on society.

I’m sitting here watching M*A*S*H the 30th Year Reunion Special with my husband.  What an interesting show.  It’s interviews with the actors from the show as they sit and talk about the series.  They have discussed how some of the story lines came about….  the affect it had on their lives and how profound the last show was for them.

I have to say…. M*A*S*H is one show that when it went into syndication…. long before cable TV…. it’s one show that I really enjoyed watching.  I guess it’s still in syndication…. which says a lot for the show.

Some of the episode on M*A*S*H were so good.  I mean…. they usually always entertained…. but some of them really told some wonderful stories.  It gave you a chance to look at the war through the characters eyes.  Just watching some of the clips they were showing during this special was still moving to me.

I suppose I could go on and on about what a great show M*A*S*H was.  Most of us could.  But I will just say that I’m grateful to have been able to experience the series M*A*S*H.  I’m grateful to know that I still can if I want!  I’m grateful to a group of people who not only wanted to ‘entertain’ us…. but wanted to tell some important stories in the process.  It makes me appreciate those who did and still do serve their country!

I am Grateful!  How are You?
